About us

At home in the world, rooted in Kenya.

Kusi Safaris has been designing and operating journeys across Kenya since 2019. Based in Nairobi, we work with tour operators and travel designers around the world. One local partner, one point of contact, for everything that happens on the ground.
Our story

Why we started

Kusi Safaris started with a simple idea: build a DMC that works for Kenya as much as it works for the traveller. That means working with people and partners who care about the places we travel through, keeping value within local communities and making conservation part of the way we work. We want to create journeys worth coming back for. Journeys that show travellers a Kenya that is richer, more varied and more surprising than they expected.

Our work

What we do

We design and operate trips across Kenya, bringing together wildlife, culture, landscapes and the people who make the country what it is. The classic safari has its place. We simply believe Kenya has much more to offer alongside it. We develop niche and specialised itineraries for operators who want to bring more variety, depth and character to their Kenya programmes. We want travellers to do more than see Kenya from a vehicle. That might mean hiking, rafting, learning, eating, cycling or simply spending more time in one place. From accommodation and transport to guiding, activities and on-the-ground support, we bring the different parts together and make sure they work as one programme.

The people

Our team

We’re a growing team bringing together two perspectives: people who know Kenya from the inside, and people who have spent years travelling, selling and developing tours for international markets. As we grow further, the approach stays the same: an accessible team, clear communication and support you can count on.

Our principles

What we stand for

Cheetah mother with cubs

Conscious, respectful travel

We work with partners who respect Kenya's people, cultures, landscapes and wildlife, and wherever possible, keep tourism value within local communities.

Originality

We look beyond the obvious and build journeys with character. The kind that surprise travellers and stay with them long after they return home.

Local knowledge and expertise

Every itinerary is built on firsthand knowledge of Kenya. Being here, allows us to design trips that hold up in practice, not just on paper.

Personal approach

No two travellers are the same. Whether we're building for an individual, a group or an organisation, we work from your brief, your market and your travellers, adapting the journey around what they need.

Quality, in every detail

From the accommodations to the guides, every part of the journey matters. Excellent communication, reliable logistics and trusted partners are what make the trips run smoothly.
